Stephen Barger, CPA

Experience

Steve has worked in public accounting since 1997. He joined Swindon Springer & Company in 2011.

His career began with Deloitte & Touche followed by employment with a regional accounting firm. Steve has specialized experience and knowledge that includes IRS representation and industry specific experience in real estate, professional services (medical, legal and engineering), manufacturing and distribution, and construction. His other practice areas include international and multi-state tax compliance, estate and gift, mergers and acquisitions, business succession planning, and entity selection.

Originally from the Dayton area, Steve attended Urbana University and has degrees in Accounting and Business Administration. Over the years, Steve has served on various professional, trade and volunteer and advisory boards, and has coached several youth baseball, softball, and basketball teams. Steve has recently served on the Board of Trustees of Miami Valley Child Development Centers and was its Treasurer.

Steve has a passion for sports and enjoys the outdoors while fishing, hunting, hiking, and most of all watching his son play baseball and his daughter play basketball.
